Road Rage: Stick That Somewhere Else

Dear Terrible Driver,
Bumper stickers. Seriously? Why do you feel the need to post your religious views, political views, favorite sports team’s logo, and ALL members of your family (including pets)?! Yes, I’m taking to all those soccer moms that drive minivans and have their happy little suburban family with a husband, wife, two kids and a dog.
Not to mention that bumper stickers are distracting! Have you ever been at an intersection and gotten distracted by the plethora of cheesy bumper stickers slapped on the back of a car?
In my opinion, cars are not bulletin boards for you to post anything and everything about yourself and what you believe in. The only job of a car is to take you from point A to point B in a safe and timely manner, so please, try not to overwhelm me with your excessive bumper adornments. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know, but I don’t want someone knowing everything about me just by looking at the back of my car.
But what really grinds my gears are the religious and political bumper stickers. Never have I ever thought to myself, “Wow, that ‘Trump 2016’ bumper sticker has really inspired me to vote for Donald Trump, because seeing his name in small red letters across the back of an old Chevy pickup truck leaves me absolutely awestruck. But I don’t mean to get too political here because I know about as much about politics as a typical 17-year-old girl would know and I am in no position to start spewing my views.
So, next time you feel the need to slap that cheesy piece of plastic across your trunk, maybe consider the implications of doing so.
With love (but also rage),
M. Felt
