Road Rage: Keep Up With the Flow of Traffic

Dear Terrible Driver,
Do not go under the speed limit. It is called a speed limit, not a speed recommendation. If you go five to ten miles per hour under the speed limit, maybe you should consider going a little faster, especially if we are driving on a one lane road where I can’t pass you!
If your car or vehicle (or whatever you’re driving) does not have the capability to go the assigned speed limit, then you should not be driving on that road. Just not comfortable going 70? Then, don’t take the interstate, because going too slow on fast roads isn’t just annoying – it’s dangerous.
I mean, think about it: is it really worth making other people late just because you can’t, or just don’t want to go the speed limit? It’s just selfish. And it’s not like there’s no other roads you can take.
And yes, I know I wrote an earlier blog post on one of my other pet peeves, people who speed. Don’t think I’m being hypocritical here; the safest route (and least annoying to your fellow drivers) is to drive at the posted speed. Yes, it’s kind of like Goldilocks: not too slow, not too fast.
So all in all, if you would please just go the speed limit, that would be great.
With love (but also rage),
M. Felt
