After a close win over no. 8 ranked Bloomingdale last Saturday, the Knights’ flag football team showed their dominance with a 33-0 shutout over no. 7 ranked Plant City tonight. Prior to this game, Plant City was undefeated and had allowed only 12 points all season.

The Knights started out the game with two interceptions-turned-touchdowns in the first few minutes, and kept that momentum going throughout the rest of the game, scoring 19 points in the first half and 14 in the second. In a tweet, Coach Joshua Saunders called the game the “best performance of the year.”

With the win, the Knights move on to the state quarterfinals game Friday, May 8 at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee, where they will play no. 5 ranked Osceola (12-2) en route to defending their state title.
