Lead by senior standout Madeline Strasen, the girls and boys team tallied their second win each of the season against Blake High School last night at Bobby Hicks. The boys beat Blake 86-15, while the girls racked up 108 point to Blake’s 27.

“It went great, I have 31 girls and I got to put every girl in the meet, which is what I’m trying to do,” said girls Coach George DiFederico of the meet.

DiFederico named Strasen as a top performer, as she broke yet another school record, this time in 500 freestyle. Strasen, who has made it to the state meet in the 100 breaststroke the past two years, has broken both individual and team records while swimming at Robinson.

Both team’s standings stand at 2-0 after last week’s wins against Sickles. Their next meet is against Tampa Catholic next Tuesday, Sep. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Bobby Hicks, and they swim against rival Plant next Thursday, Sep. 10 at 7:00 p.m.
