Q: Why did you originally choose eLearning for the first semester?

A: “I chose eLearning for the first semester because I didn’t really feel prepared to go back to being in the classroom, and I was not sure about the safety of school since people had just come back from vacation.”

Q: Are you going back for the second semester? Why or why not?

A: “I am going back for the second semester because it is becoming hard to learn and focus during my Zoom classes, and I cheer so the transportation back and forth after school is a little challenging.”

Q: Was eLearning what you expected? Was there anything that surprised you?

A: “It kind of was what I expected, the only thing that surprised me is the way that teachers went about class presentation procedures for online students. ”

Q: Did you have to come to school for practices, games, tests, etc.? How did it feel?

A: “Yes I had to come to school to attend cheer practice 3 times a week, sometimes 4, at first it was a little weird because I saw people I hadn’t seen since March 2020. ”

Q: What is something you’ve learned from eLearning about studying, time management, etc.?

A: “Something I’ve learned is that just because I’m at home doesn’t mean I can skip out on work, and that procrastinating is easy when you’re at home with nothing to do.”

Q: Has eLearning changed you as a student in any way? If so, how? If not, how did you maintain the same student mindset and study habit as you would’ve in-person?

A: “I don’t think I have changed that much, something that helped me maintain a good mindset is telling myself that my teachers aren’t going to grade my work differently because I’m at home. This kind of motivated me to want to stay on top of my work.”

Q: If there was anything you could tell yourself before you started the first semester, what would it be?

A: “It would probably be get good sleep, because I have a really bad habit of waking up right before class starts which is something I can’t do when I go back for the second semester.”
