Halloween is around the corner and one of the greatest aspects of Halloween is the plentiful amounts of candy. Candy and its sweet attributes are what make Halloween one of the most celebrated holidays in the United States. But the question is, when is there too much candy? And if there is, what do you do with it?

Leftover candy is a fear for many, as it may end up lasting you for many months to come which won’t look so delicious after all. So, what you can do to eliminate as much of it as possible is with a recipe such as the Halloween Candy Popcorn Crunch recipe provided by AllRecipes.com. It’s an easy 15 minutes to prepare your Halloween candy with a twist that anyone can make.

There are only five easy-to-get ingredients and three simple steps. Keep in mind that you can always replace or take away any ingredient you feel best fits with this recipe, such as what I did with the candy corn.

• 12 cups of popped popcorn (best if it doesn’t have butter)
• one cup of candy corn
• one cup of salted peanuts
• a half cup of peanut butter pieces
• one pound chocolate almond bark in chunks

All you have to do is to first mix the popcorn, candy corn, peanuts and peanut butter pieces in a large bowl. 

Then, melt the chocolate almond bark in a microwave-safe glass or bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, for about one to three minutes (depending on your microwave) until the chocolate is creamy and smooth. Do not overheat the chocolate or it will scorch.

Finally, pour the melted almond bark over the popcorn mixture and stir until the popcorn is well-coated. Then, spread the popcorn mixture onto a flat surface lined with waxed or parchment paper. Let it dry completely, and then break into clumps.
