Due to the destruction from hurricanes Helene and Milton, many people who apply to college were unable to prepare and submit their applications. As a result, several Florida colleges and universities have decided to change their early action and priority deadlines.

Some of the colleges that have participated in extending early action deadlines and their new dates include (but are not limited to):

• Oct. 22 – UCF
• Nov. 1 – FAU, FSU, FAMU, Florida Gulf Coast, FIU, New College of Florida, UF

Schools that have given additional time for priority deadlines are:

• Nov. 1- UNF, USF
• Dec. 1 – UWF
