History once again repeats itself for NFL receiver Antonio Brown. After his latest exit from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Antonio Brown is just begging for more attention. With messages released from Brown as well as claims from the Bucs, we are just watching and waiting for the situation to play out.

After the week 17 game, Brown was trending all over social media. During the third quarter of the game he took off his jersey and pads, threw his gloves into the crowd, and flashed a peace sign as he strutted off the field. Over the next few days the drama continued to unfold. Brown accuses Bruce Arians and the team of making him play with an injury. In a press conference Arians said he is “no longer a Buc,” and that he potentially ruined his relationship with QB Tom Brady.

While Arians consistently claims he has no idea what led to the meltdown midgame, Brown claims otherwise. He released screenshots of a conversation between Arians and himself, where he received a message to be ready to play. Brown responds with a picture of his ankle getting taped up and telling his coach he rolled it but will try to be ready for the game. Arians ends the conversation by saying “Come see me in the morning. We’ll talk it out. Definitely want you with us in case you’re ready.” In a press conference a day later, Arians did confirm the text were real, but Brown had been cleared to play and wasn’t informed of him hurting before or during the game.

Not too soon after the incident, the Bucs put out a tweet stating Brown had been in fact “terminated”. Browns relationship with his former coach wasn’t the only broken bond. Tom Brady, after the incident on the field, told everyone to have compassion for Brown because we don’t know what may be going on with him behind the scenes. Brown, creating even more tension goes at Brady by saying he was only friends with him because he was a “good football player.” A week later though, Brown tells media his words had been taken out of context. It seemed pretty clear what he meant, but he now says Brady is a true friend who he loves, and that he had been with him amidst all the controversy.

Brady was asked about Brown’s initial comments and he ducked the question responding with “I think there’s a lot of personal feelings,” Brady told CBS sports reporters. “I don’t think this is really the week to discuss it though. I’m just going to do the best I can do as the quarterback of the team and try to put together a great week and finish strong. You just always deal with different things over the course of the season and that’s what we’re doing this week.”
