Jack Perkins is a senior at Robinson High School, this being his first year as a Staff Writer for the Knight Writers. He will be assisting with interviews.
“I joined because my girlfriend is co-editor-in-chief, and she said I should join. I also knew I wouldn’t do any work in my JAs, so I’d rather do something like this.”
He also shared that he was looking forward to interviewing people with the Knight Writers.
Perkins is a pitcher for Robinson’s varsity baseball team, and is very excited for this coming season, especially senior night. Although he is choosing not to pursue baseball further in college, he is excited to explore new opportunities beyond the field.
Interested in travel, Perkins said that he planned to go to FSU and study abroad, maybe even minoring in Spanish.
“I like traveling… but I’m a broke high school student, so that’s not very affordable.” Perkins said.
Along with his passion for travel, comes a love for food. Perkins enjoys trying new foods- always excited to try new restaurants and dishes.
“I like food. I know that’s pretty basic, but I like eating food and going to new places.” Perkins said.
When asked if he was interested in pursuing journalism after high school, Perkins said that while it wasn’t one of his interests, he is excited to be on the staff and for this coming year with the Knight Writers.
Perkins is still deciding between majors, but knows he wants to pursue the pre-law track.
