Karen Vallerschamp has been educating students for the last ten years, three of which were at Robinson. She teaches AP Human Geography, Ap Government, and US History. However, if she wasn’t a teacher, she would be working with horses.
“I’ve always loved horses, ever since I was a little girl,” said Vallerschamp.
Vallerschamp was raised in Texas, going to high school at the Richland High School in North Richland Hills, Texas. After she graduated, she attended University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She majored in social sciences, and she decided to become a teacher because when she was a child, she thought that she would love it.
Her favorite food is cheesecake, and outside of her job, she loves spending time with her husband and kids and rollerblading.
“As a kid, I played teacher with my friends and stuffed animals and I later taught people how to ride horses. My favorite thing about teaching is the fact that the experience is different every day,” said Vallerschamp. “And my favorite thing about history is that we can learn from our past.”
