I have a secret for all of you readers out there. Only close friends and family know about this, and if you, the reader, were aware of this beforehand, it would’ve been detrimental to my position as Sports Editor. I don’t know anything about sports.
Well, I didn’t know anything about sports. Since freshman year of high school, I had only written fiction, such as short stories and novels. Never in a million years, let alone four, would I imagine that by the end of my high school career, I would be Sports Editor for a school newspaper. Although only experiencing newspaper for two years, and Robinson for two and a half, both the school and the program has changed my life so much.
Newspaper has given me more opportunities to improve my writing skills. Being on leadership has given me so much more confidence when working with people. From working on videos my junior year, to making my first spread and to dancing with my friends at FSPA, I’ve learned so much over the last few years.
What’s really amazing is that now, I can carry a conversation about football with my dad. So, thank you, Knight Writers.
