After years of pregnancy rumors, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, or more classically known as Rihanna, is pregnant with long-term boyfriend A$AP Rocky, more formally known as Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

Rihanna and Rocky have been together publicly since 2019. Throughout the couple’s relationship timeline, people have always rumored them to be together and they made their first appearance to the public as a couple on a red carpet in 2019 for the December Fashion Awards. In November of 2020, Rocky confirmed the relationship in an interview calling her the love of his life.

On January 31, Rihanna and Rocky announced the pregnancy, after weeks of rumors, by wearing an unbuttoned, pink puffer jacket and a beautiful jewel chain emphasizing her baby bump. Rihanna posted pictures from a photoshoot to announce the pregnancy on her instagram,  showing the world the excitement they have to welcome their first child into the world. She captioned the post “how the gang pulled up to black history month”.

In May 2021, Rocky said in an interview with GQ “I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.” He continued to say that he sees Rihanna as his “destiny” and that she is the one for him. “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one,” Rocky said in the interview.

Some fans aren’t as happy about the pregnancy though. Some saying they would rather have an album from her than her be pregnant. Rihanna has not released any music since her 2016 album ANTI. She has been designing clothes for Savage x Fenty along with creating makeup and skincare for the Fenty Beauty line.

Rihanna has said in many interviews that they would like to have “three or four” children within the next ten years, whether she has a partner or not. The pair have yet to make an official statement on the pregnancy other than the Instagram revealing it to the masses.

Majority of people are happy for her and Rocky and hope the best for them in the coming future.
