On March 27, IB families gathered around for a night of great food and company. The cafeteria was done up with checkered tablecloths and the Knights Tavern provided a spread of bread, pasta, salad and cookies. Many families included incoming freshman into the IB program, who were greeted by a team of IB ambassadors: Laura Smith (’26), Gabriel Villanueva (’27) and Vivian Tran (’27).
“The dinner was super important for introducing future IB students and help build the strong community that is crucial for Robinson,” Smith said.
Along with the exchange of guidance and recommendations, RHS IB merchandise was also available for sale. Members of the Robinson IB Link (RIBILI) greeted incoming and current families, along with members of the IB faculty including Erin Quinn, Christopher Petit and Morgan Reinhart.
“IB dinners give students an opportunity to get to know each other and bond new friendships in the future as they become the next freshman class,” Villanueva said. “They also give our school a chance to truly get to know who our students are and provide a sense of comfort as they transition into a new environment.”
