Peter Weber: the new Bachelor
Peter the Pilot: the next Bachelor for 2020. Will he crash and burn or soar through the sky?
September 30, 2019
Peter Weber reminds me of a butterfly. He is so gentle and so kind and so caring. In this new season of The Bachelor, I worry his wings will be torn off.
Weber (you may know him as Peter the Pilot) was one of the final three in the latest season of The Bachelorette starring Hannah Brown. He was known for his boyish charm and as a fan favorite. In fact, many wanted him to win. However, on the 12th episode, Brown sent Weber home, wishing him the best and crying over the fact that she was the cause of another heartbreak. Weber was confused as to what he did wrong, but Brown reassured him that there was nothing wrong, just that her heart led her in a different direction.
The directors chose Weber as the perfect candidate for the next season of The Bachelor because fans loved his sweet personality throughout the season. I think he deserves to be with someone who makes him happy. Seeing Brown go through the many trials and tribulations of being The Bachelorette made me realize what a tough process it all is, physically and mentally. I don’t know if I can watch Weber’s heart break again. This is going to be a very tough process and I know it will be very hard on sweet Peter the Pilot.
Even though Weber was a fan favorite in the last season, many were unhappy with the news that he would be the next Bachelor. Viewers favored Mike Johnson and wanted to see him as the Bachelor for 2020. Johnson was also a contestant on The Bachelorette in 2019 and was loved for his classy manners and positive attitude. Brown and Johnson had viewers drooling over their many one-on-one dates throughout the season. When Brown sent Johnson home, viewers had hoped that he could be the next Bachelor. However, Johnson’s constant flirting with singer/songwriter Demi Lovato may have forfeited him the gig.
As Weber enters his season of The Bachelor, I am anxious but excited to see what it entails. I will be sitting on the edge of my seat through every episode, praying that Weber can stay strong and come out the other end of this with his wings intact and his co-pilot secured.
