NHS Induction Ceremony 2022
October 27, 2022
Tonight, many Robinson upperclassmen were inducted into the National Honor Society. By joining the society, these students are recognized as student leaders in the four fundamental NHS pillars: scholarship, leadership, character and service.
Now being student leaders, many inductees strive to exemplify these principles.
“I applied to be a part of NHS so I could not only hold the title of a member but hopefully lead my peers as well. I aspire to be an example of the benefits of hard work and passion in my subjects,” newly inducted NHS member Savannah Lax (’24) said.
Joining such a well-established society which is said to be “the standard for student excellence,” not only tends to get members to exhibit these same standards but creates a sense of community.
“I thought it [being inducted] was really cool because it felt like I was a part of a bigger thing,” newly inducted member Campbell Moore (’24) said. “NHS is a national organization, so I felt like I was connected to people across the nation.”
Having been around for over 100 years, induction to NHS carries a lot of meaning for new members.
“To me, NHS is a privilege and honor to be in,” Lax said. “It’s a demonstration of hard work and dedication to my studies and school.”
