Vikram Sambasvian is a junior at Robinson and the News & Features Editor of Knight Writers. This is his second year on staff and second year as an editor.
Being on staff for the second year, he is specifically looking forward to writing more news stories, since he finds them helpful to so many people. He is excited to attend more journalism events as well.
"I have been practicing driving a lot and am hopefully getting my license soon," Sambasivan said. "I'm most excited to drive this year to more newspaper events and not have to carpool or ask my dad for a ride to them."
Besides newspapers, you can often find Sambasivan in Mu Alpha Theta, where he is serving as precalculus co-captain and as well as ping pong club. He is also involved in my extracurriculars outside of school, including tennis and rowing.
"I have played tennis since I was five," Sambasivan said. "I have had a love-hate relationship with the sport. I stopped liking it in fifth grade, then suddenly started to pick it back up in eighth grade. I enjoy tennis the most, but I'm not good enough. Rowing is something though."
With a busy schedule, Sambasivan usually doesn't have much free time, but he enjoys watching "Boston Legal" whenever he has the chance to. Even though he is not a music enthusiast, you can find him listening to it at the gym.
"I don't usually listen to music much, except for when I'm at the gym," Sambasivan added. "Really aggressive Eminem is the way to go."
After high school, Sambasivan doesn't have a dream college in mind, but he does have high expectations for himself.
"In an ideal world, I would go to Harvard," Sambasivan said. "I would most likely go pre-med, become a doctor and get an MBA."
