Robinson entered Monday’s matchup hot, having won their past two games by at least 14 points. Despite this, the Knights’ victory at this game was anything but certain, with Steinbrenner being one of the most difficult teams the knights have faced this season.
The Warriors opened the scoring fast, sliding past the RHS goalie just a minute and thirty-five in. This extremely fast paced attack would continue as the Knights struggled with passing and catching, allowing the ball to fall into the opposition’s sticks. Steinbrenner passed around the Knights effortlessly due to communication and movement off the ball, giving the ball to their attackers who would then effortlessly weave through the static Robinson defenders and scored. Steinbrenner was relentless, and by half time the score was 14-3. After halftime, the knights managed to stop the Steinbrenner attacks but kept conceding penalties which almost always led to opposition goals. Despite fighting till the end, Robinson lost 20-4, now falling to 3-4 game wise.
