This year, Robinson Boys Lacrosse looked a little different. In previous seasons, the team had never achieved a winning record, even losing every single game in multiple seasons. This year, however, the boys managed to reach an amazing 12-3 record, propelling them into the district playoffs where they faced five seed Northside Christian. On April 11, the teams faced off at Jack Peters field, competing over who would advance to the next round of districts and beyond. Both teams displayed their strong defenses and aggressive offenses, but after bouts of back-and-forth scoring, Northside Christian came out on top 10-4. Despite the loss, many players remain positive, focusing on the talent displayed by Robinson in the game.
“It was a good game where everyone played really well,” Captain Aidan Parks said. “On Friday night we really brought the fight we started with at the beginning of the season.”
Despite their loss, many Robinson players hold out hope that they can advance into regionals, demonstrating the resilience of the team that proved Robinson can play lacrosse.
