Christian Dingle is a junior at Robinson and a Senior Staff Writer for Knight Writers. This is his second year on staff.
Following in his sister’s path, he joined journalism at RHS to expand the extent of his writing capabilities.
“I like writing – I’ve always been good at writing…I decided that by being part of newspaper and the RHSToday’s Knight Writers Staff, I could become a better writer…I program, so I’m always writing,” Dingle said.
A programming sleuth by day and a jujitsu ace by night – all while writing captivating opinion, news and entertainment pieces for RHSToday – Dingle’s skillsets range far and wide. He has always enjoyed writing across many genres and many forms, from computer coding to storytelling, Dingle has done it all.
Not only is he book smart, but Dingle also knows a thing or two about self-defense. He has had eight and a half years of experience in taekwondo, as well as experience in jujitsu, mixed martial arts and boxing – all leading up to his participation in RHS Wrestling in his sophomore year, which he intends to continue pursuing into his junior year.
“I started wrestling because I’ve always liked doing martial arts stuff, and seeing Robinson’s wrestling program… It’s really good,” Dingle said.
As for his future, Dingle plans to utilize his prior knowledge in the field of computer science to pursue a career in programming. He has no specific sub-category in mind, which only serves to highlight his ability to adapt to a multitude of situations and overcome all sorts of problems.
After a “mostly inactive” year, he is coming back with ambitious goals which are sure to establish his presence on the RHSToday staff. Armed with a new mindset and a plethora of experience, Dingle is determined to make this year a good one.
