Pim Kruthun, Multimedia Editor
Pim Kruthun is a senior at Robinson and Multimedia for RHSToday and Knight Writers. It is her second year on staff.
Outside of her journalism forays, she involves herself in volunteering and leadership work. Barring academic and humanitarian causes, however, her free time is spent pursuing a multitude of hobbies not limited to scriptwriting, film-making, true crime and various media production.
“Outside of school I can be found volunteering somewhere, or in my room procrastinating and editing”, to quote her directly regarding pastimes and interests.
A large part of what draws her to journalism is her passion for production and storytelling; that is, taking a story, be it written, visual, or even audio, and sculpting it into something thoroughly engaging and unique. She also likes Ms. Oben. Her productions are not without influence—“Celine Sciamma movies inspire me, they remind me of my childhood and really help me find my identity through film”. Other draws range from the cultural to the contemporary, including her favorite music artist, Blackpink, as well as her exposure to a wide range of cultures during her youth.
Pim’s varied taste is perhaps reflected most accurately in her clothing: often seen sporting loose-fitting jackets with unique sneakers and shirt combinations, Pim’s style is relentlessly interesting—directly reflective of her fresh take on journalism and media production.
