The production was called “As She Likes It” and was a reimagining of old Shakespearian plays. “Shogun Sushi” is an “all-you-can-eat” sus

“Shogun Sushi” is an “all-you-can-eat” sushi and seafood restaurant that opened late last month. Located on north Dale Mabry Hwy in an unobtrusive black building, you could almost miss it if it weren’t for my many flags and banners outside announcing the so-called “soft launch,” of the restaurant.

Due to Hurricane Milton and Helene forcing students to miss almost a fourth of a quarter of school, Hillsborough county made the decision to remove Midterm exams to recover. Since course credits are counted by semesters, this decision is a big deal. Normally, a student’s final grade is calculated by averaging their first-quarter grade, second-quarter grade and semester exam.

With Hurricane Helene causing all Hillsborough County public schools to close Sept. 25-27, students must make up those missed 16 hours in the classroom. On Oct. 3, the county announced that these hours will be made by taking away the Monday early release schedule for the rest of the first semester starting Oct. 21.

Along with Mondays being extended, Columbus Day, Oct. 14, will become a school day as well. However, Monday Nov. 11 will still be a non-student day in Honor of Veterans Day. Thanksgiving break, which runs from Nov. 24 - Nov. 30 will remain the same.

Winter break has been shortened by one day. Rather than students returning on Jan. 7, they will return Jan. 6.

Hurricane Helene, while not a direct hit on Tampa, still left devastation in her wake.

According to NBC News, the eye of Hurricane Helene

According to NBC News, the eye of Hurricane Helene is currently 130 miles west of Tampa Bay. As the storm moves northeast towards the big bend of the panhandle, she is likely to make landfall in Tallahassee this evening.

Following the Homecoming Pep Rally dressed like a

Following the Homecoming Pep Rally dressed like a Disney character students gathered along with family and staff all gathered in the Jack Peters Stadium to watch the Knights play the Strawberry Crest Chargers on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.

With it being the Homecoming game the Knights Marching Band played their show before kickoff which consisted of melodic harmonies all around and the Starlets effortlessly dancing all around.

Kickoff began at 7:30 p.m. and by halftime the Chargers were up 21-0.

During halftime instead of the usual band performance students and staffed were blessed with the presence of royalty. Homecoming royalty was introduced and walked down the field with their families and awaited for their King and Queen to be announced. The finalists for King were seniors Jordan De La cruz, Xander Logan and Dylan Bajraktarevic. The finalists for Queen were seniors Eva Nguyen, Catie Powell and Lauren Launikitis.

Each potential King participated in Robinson tradition and each had a turn to pull out the Excalibur, the sword buried in the rock, and whoever successfully pulled it was crowned King.

Each had a try and each failed, but when Logan pulled a second time the sword came unburied within the stone and was able to bestow the sword upon his Queen, which ended up being Launikitis.

“I was really happy when he pulled out the sword, and then I was really nervous because I didn’t think i had originally won,” Launikitis said. “But when he juked me out then gave it to me I was super, super excited and honestly a night for the books.”

With only a few minutes left in the fourth quarter the Knights were able to score two touchdowns. The final score was 28-14 to the Chargers.

The Knights will venture off into uncharted territory next Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson High School.

During the week of Sept. 16- Sept. 21, the Robinson Knights celebrated Homecoming with 5 days of dress-up as planned by @robinson.sga.

Dressed head to toe like someone who has just work

Dressed head to toe like someone who has just worked a 9 to 5 on a construction site, students gathered on the Dewey Mitchell field at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 30 to cheer on their Knights while they played against the Alonso Ravens.

The Knights couldn’t defend their home territory for long and as they took their first loss at home with a final score of 7-55.

Center for the Knights, Evan Carlisle (‘26) remained positive throughout such a tough game.

“I was hyped up going into the game and never lost that feeling even when we were down,” Carlisle said. “I just love to play the game, win or lose, but that one [the game] hurt.”

The Knights will be playing their next game at Plant High School against the Panthers on Friday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. For students and families to show Knight pride wear all white.
