Mr. & Mrs. Crab, located on Gandy Blvd introduce outstanding seafood and originality to South Tampa. Any other restaurant in Tampa Bay can’t compare to them.When you get to the restaurant, you’re greeted by a red and black building and their famous logo. It’s a cartoonish picture of two crabs, one male and one female married right at the entrance.

There are lots of places to sit and eat . There’s outside seating for a perfect sunset date or inside seating on a cold chilly day. They mostly have booths inside the building; I personally love sitting at booths so that was a plus for me.

Mr. & Mrs. Crab is a pirate and ship themed restaurant. When you walk in, there is a large pirate mannequin. There are ship wheels hanging up, life savers all around the building and fake animals like fish, sharks and starfish everywhere. I adore how they stick to one theme and base everything around that one theme, while keeping it simple.

It’s very fancy looking inside. There’s mini light bulbs hanging in every direction, as well as license plates every turn you go. I really admire that, because it’s not something you’d see in a restaurant like Mr. & Mrs. Crab; I love the style.

If you decide to eat there, you’ll be most likely seated at a booth. The waiter will tell you their name and write it down on the table in case you forget. Every time I go there that’s the thing that stands out to me. Those little touches just give them more individuality.

I ordered the Combo A, which is a 1/2 Snow Crab, 1 Lobster Tail, ½ lb. Shrimp (no head) based dish. It also comes with potatoes and corn. I decided to get their medium spice level Mr. & Mrs. Crab special seasoning/sauce with it. I order this every time I go there and I’m never disappointed.

The food is absolutely outstanding. The price is a bit high but when I eat there, my seafood craving goes down for a while and comes in a very large amount of food. The potatoes and shrimp are my favorite, and the Mr. & Mrs. Crab sauce is something that makes the whole thing come together

If you do get a combo, it comes double bagged. There’s a lot of sauce and delicious homemade juices in it. If you eat when it’s brought to you at the restaurant, the waiter will shake that bag for you so everything is well mixed, but if you get it carried out you can do it on your own.

There are varieties of foods to choose from. There are make your own combos, special combos, etc. Although they are a seafood based restaurant, they have more things to choose from like Something fried or Soups and Salads if you are allergic or just not in the mood for seafood.

Mr. & Mrs. Crab will always be my go to seafood restaurant. I’ve been going there every since they’ve opened and I’m never discouraged or disappointed. Mr. & Mrs. Crab gets a powerful 10/10. If you’re in a seafood mood and want a craving this is the perfect place to go. Everything about them just makes me want to go again and again.
