Spider-Man Finds His Way To Theaters
Spider-Man: No Way Home; the biggest film of 2021.
January 7, 2022
At long last, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” premiered exclusively in theaters on Friday, Dec. 17.
With a total budget of $200m, producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal and director Jon Watts brought this film to life. Not to mention, the iconic Willem Defoe, Jamie Fox and Alfred Melina are coming back too, as they bring back characters such as the Green Goblin, Electro, Doc Ock, etc.
Along with Defoe, Fox and Melina returning, there is also an amazing cast that makes up Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Spiderman franchise. Tom Holland playing Spiderman himself, Peter Parker, Zendaya playing the sarcastic MJ, Jacob Batalon playing the hilarious Ned Leeds and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange.
According to The New York Times, “‘No Way Home” collected an estimated $253 million at theaters in the United States and Canada” just during opening week, which was greatly earned. The movie’s opening week was also “the third highest in the overall Hollywood history books, behind “Avengers: Endgame” ($357 million) and “Avengers: Infinity War” ($258 million).” This movie has been one of the most highly anticipated movie of 2021 by many movie-goers, including myself. I’ve been looking forward to this movie since the first teaser trailer came out back in August and it most definitely did not disappoint.
Racking up millions just within the first few days, “No Way Home” has even scored a 94% critic rating and 99% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The exciting and riveting action movie keeps fans on the edge of their seats the whole way through. An emotional rollercoaster that grips you and one we never want to let go of. In order to prepare for this film, I suggest watching the original “Spider-Man” trilogy along with both of “The Amazing Spider-Man” movies, so you can have a better understanding of what happens in this movie.
Before the official teaser trailer came out, I had only seen the MCU’s Spider-Man movies, like “Spider-Man Homecoming” and “Far From Home.” After the trailer came out, I watched the “Spider-Man” trilogy and the two “Amazing Spider-Man” movies to make sure I had all the right background knowledge before watching “No Way Home.” Although “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is now my favorite movie, I do wish that there was a bit more action. Now granted, this is a Marvel movie and there is a lot of action in this but I do wish there was a bit more.
I’ve watched this movie twice and as a personal Marvel fanatic, it was the best film I’ve seen this year. The action, the humor, the cinematography, the music, the emotions, the list goes on and on. Everything about this movie is incredible. I would rate this movie a 10/10, but I may be biased as a die-hard Spider-Man stan. I strongly suggest that anyone who even remotely enjoys the Marvel franchise to watch this movie.
