Kacey Musgraves came to Tampa Nov. 29 at Amalie Arena and put on a great concert. The tickets were ridiculously cheap and it was 100 percent worth it.
She had two openers which were Lord Huron and Nickel Creek. Nickel Creek in my opinion was not the best opener. The lead singer for them wasn’t the best in my opinion. She sounded really nervous but it could’ve also been the way she sings. Lord Huron on the other hand had a really great performance.
Musgraves was awesome and did an amazing job. I’m disappointed that she didn’t play “Merry Go ‘Round,” but she did play a lot of good songs and some of them were “Lonely Millionaire,” “Golden Hour” and “Follow Your Arrow.”
Her sets were really interesting, she used a lot of smoke and she had another stage (Stage B) that was made into a garden that she went on for four of her songs. She did a cover of SZA’s popular song “Kill Bill” on that same stage. She wore the same outfit the entire show and her outfit was very well put to the theme.
During her stage switch, a fan hit her. It is all over social media and online. I believe there should have been a better way to get to the other stage but then again the can shouldn’t have been thrown anyways.
Musgraves most popular song “Merry go ‘round” was not played during the concert which made me really surprised, but overall her performance was one of the most best performances I have seen and made up for the lack of one song.
She presented herself really well and so did the openers. She performed amazingly. The next time she is in town she is a must go to concert.
