Alysha Klingman-Mutchler is a sophomore at Robinson, and a Staff Writer for Knight Writers. This is her first year on staff. Klingman-Mutchler joined the class to escape more of the design aspect of yearbook and interact more with the student body through the newspaper. She's most excited to get to talk to people through interviews and see their opinions on news in the school. "The web-designing just wasn't as me as I feel interviewing and getting to write stories could be," Klingman-Mutchler said. Klingman-Mutchler hopes to improve throughout the year and learn more about newswriting style as opposed to yearbook. Outside of the newsroom, Klingman-Mutchler is a member of SGA, culinary leadership, and band. She is playing the bass drum this season, last year playing the bells in front ensemble. Since her freshman year and loves the instrument. She hopes to get more involved this school year. "My hope is I can do TRI-M for my club and maybe join Best Buddies," Klingman-Mutchler said. On the weekends Klingman- Mutchler enjoys being able to relax and focus on her friends instead of schoolwork. "I honestly love just rotting in my bed, scrolling through Instagram reel and texting or calling my friends," Klingman-Mutchler said. Klingman- Mutchler hopes that journalism helps school become less tiring, so she doesn't have to bed rot as much, and she feels more motivated to do things with friends. "I love thrifting, going to the beach, and concerts when I have the chance. I was just able to see T. Pain last weekend," Klingman-Mutchler said. Klingman-Mutchler loves listening to music because it gives her a sense of self identity. "I love music so much because it makes me feel like me and like I'm in my own world", she said. Her favorite artists to listen to are currently Chappell Roan, Kendrick Lamar and Sabrina Carpenter. When Klingman- Mutchler eventually leaves high school, she hopes to become a forensic scientist. She first discovered her affinity for forensics through the show "Grey's Anatomy", her favorite TV show, hoping to study at USF or UF. "I've always loved the thought of it, and I want to be a doctor while also working in criminology. I find those both very interesting," Klingman-Mutchler said. " I feel like my roots are at USF because all of my sisters have gone there."
