If you are anything like me, you probably are broke with only $20 left in your bank account. With Spring break quickly approaching, we all want to get out of our house and have some fun. Here’s a list of activities that will make your spring break a memorable one while staying within a reasonable budget of course.

  1. PICNIC: It’s March and with the sun not blazing hot, the weather is perfect for a picnic, so let’s enjoy it while it lasts. I would recommend bringing a mat or a few towels, with a bunch of food (especially cake) and activities too. I went on a picnic recently with my friends and we had a blast. Curtis Nixon Park is a great spot since it overlooks the water
  2. BEACH: I mean we live in Florida, so I feel like this is a must. A sunset swim with friends has been on my bucket list for the longest time and you can even get cute pictures for your Instagram! Make sure to wear a bunch of sunscreen because you sure don’t want to come back to school sunburnt, looking like a tomato.
  3. PAINT: If you are artistic like a lot of my friends, you would definitely enjoy this activity. You only need a few things for this and you can still enjoy the weather outside without being too active. We all need a break from our books and painting will for sure relax you and reset your brain for the new quarter.
  4. BIKE RIDE: If you are like me, I can never decline a bike ride. With the ridiculous amount of workload we have all had recently, I am sure a lot of us haven’t been focusing on ourselves. In my opinion, blasting your favorite music and going on a bike ride is one of the best feelings in the world. You get to burn some calories, plus riding bikes boosts everyone’s mood a little bit more.
  5. BAKE-OFF: I will say this is definitely one of my favorite activities on this list. You get to have fun AND enjoy the food afterward. My favorite sweets at this moment have to be chocolate chip cookies. I know it’s basic, but you can never go wrong with them. We have several creative snack ideas under the MidKnight Snacks section so be sure to check them out.
  6. MOVIE NIGHT: Watching movies is definitely one of the most entertaining ways to pass time. At the moment, my favorite movies are “Encanto” and “Mamma Mia!” This is also one of the cheapest options since you can just pull up Netflix or Hulu. Be sure to have popcorn and soda! These are staples to munch and slip on during a movie.

With this long-needed break, it’s time for us to have fun. So drop that book and pencil and go outside! I’ll certainly be putting all of these on my to-do list!
