I always thought about when it would be my time to write this letter. Every time I thought about it I said “that’s so far away” and “I still have so much time left,” and yet, time has really flown. My time on the Knight Writers staff will be something I remember forever.
Even though I’ve been in journalism since my freshman year, I’ve been on staff since my sophomore year and an editor since my junior year, and what a ride it’s been. I’ve changed so much the past few years, and I’m going to miss everything so much. I’ll miss the daily tea sessions held in the journalism room. From getting trampled at the FSPA state dances, to the countless hours spent on Indesign, I’ll miss every second. Even if I didn’t start taking decent photos until this year, thank you to everyone that lied to me before this year saying they were good, it encouraged me to develop an actual hobby that I even enjoy outside of school.
Now the time has come for me to say real thank you’s. Thank you to Mrs. Webster for always letting me rant and cry in your room then bringing me tissues. Thank you to all the besties who kept me company at sports games, along with dancing with me while the band played at football games. I’ve made so many amazing friends and memories as a result of being a proud journalism nerd. I’m going to miss every single one of you so very much. For the incoming editorial board, I’m expecting a drawing of my face on a balloon.
