The school-wide service project benefiting diabetes research was a major success, auctioning off for $2,500. Due to the overwhelming amount of participants interested in assisting to create the project, Mary Wilson was moved by the support showed by our artistic Knights.

“I didn’t realize so many people wanted to get involved and so many people could be touched… by the simple action of tracing your hand and decorating it.”

In addition to its charitable success, students who participated benefited by helping their community, acquiring service hours, and expanding their artistic horizons.

“I wanted it to be a quiet project so the people who made it don’t get credit,” said Wilson, who wanted to keep the focus on bringing the community together and raise money for childhood diabetes research.
