At 12:02 p.m., Hillsborough County School District announced via Twitter that all Hillsborough County Schools will be cancelled Thursday, Sept. 1 due to inclement weather. Although tropical storm Hermine will not be directly hitting Tampa, high winds, lots of rain and flooding will occur.

“We want all students, faculty, and staff to remain safe during this rough weather,” Principal Robert Bhoolai said.

All games, activities and events after 6 p.m. today are cancelled and all activities for tomorrow are cancelled. Updates concerning the rest of the school week can be found on the Hillsborough County Public Schools website.
