The class of ’23 is just the bee’s knees!

It’s an IB sophomore tradition to dress in 1920s attire after reading F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby in their English class. To fully indulge themselves in the era, the students wear a variety of outfits ranging from black flapper costumes to gangster suits while feasting on candy, sweets and drinks that were popular at the time. Keeping that mindset, they also research advertisements released during that time and then use English techniques to analyze them.
Editor’s Note: Gatsby Day involves eating and drinking, so students were not permitted to wear masks the entire period; masks were removed for some pictures.
