Lady Knights Sweep Steinbrenner in Home Opener

For the first time in 2015, the Lady Knights had home court advantage, using it to their advantage in a sweep of three sets against visiting Steinbrenner. Robinson, now 3-0, took the sets 25-22, 25-19 and 25-21.

“The experience and leadership of our team has been evident in our first three matches of the season,” said head coach Christen Garcia. “We have a solid foundation to build on.”

After a career-best performance last Thursday, Catia Sleet (’16) totaled 12 kills while McKenna Tyson (’17) added eight kills and two blocks. Emily Draper (’17) picked up 14 digs and Kristin Werdine (’19) had a solid home debut with eight kills and five aces. Rebecca Hill (’16) and Ashley Osiason (’18) split time and collected 12 assists apiece.

With their undefeated 3-0 record on the line, the Lady Knights head to Gaither on Thursday.
