After finishing third in the district, Coach Steve Smith has many goals for the upcoming season.

“We will be a young, inexperienced team this year, but I fully expect us to compete for a district title,” Coach Smith said. “With only two starters returning from last year’s team, our young guys will have to step up early at the varsity level.”

Their first game is against Freedom High School. Senior captain, Cody Brown, is leading the Knights this year.

“I am excited for the upcoming season because of the new players,” Brown said.

The teams to beat this season are Jesuit, the defending 5A champions, Middleton, and Spoto, who have all improved since last season. In our region, Gibbs, Lakewood, and Boca Ciega are expected to be very strong this year.
