The Knights won yet again, beating Spoto 61-32 in their game on Friday, Aug 26. The game featured many mind-blowing plays notably an 80-yard touchdown pass from Jeremiah Fernandez (’23) and 6 touchdowns from Kassim Johnson (’23). For most of the game, the Knights held a strong lead until the third quarter where Spoto was able to score most of their points.
“We tried not to underestimate them [Spoto], they put 31 on us,” Price Foley (’23) said. “We [just] repped defense and our offense was fine, we just had a really good offensive week.”
The Knights prevailed and were able to defeat the Spartans, putting them at 3-0. Today, they play Lennard in a home game. With such high expectations for our football team this upcoming game, the knights have been working very hard to ensure a win.
“We’ve been repping [a lot] of their defensive formations, they have a lot of really interesting players and a solid O line [they hit pretty hard],” Foley said. “To prepare we’ve been doing a lot of physical drills like tackling, circuits, and whatnot. I think we’re mentally prepared for Lennard but you know we just gotta get physical.”
