The Robinson Knights went against the Wharton Wildcats on August 22. Throughout each of the four sets, the Knights didn’t give the Wildcats an easy win, with three of the sets all being a close game. The first ended with a close game, 25-23, leading to a second set with a win for the Knights at 25-21. After that the team flunked momentum during the last two sets, with both scores being 27-25 and 25-10, respectively.
Although the Knights lost, MaxPreps announced Maleen Luther (’26) as player of the game. Luther is a newcomer to Robinson and the team, where she feels welcome.
“It’s nice,” Luther said. “Everyone is nice to everyone so there’s no problems.”
