Starbucks released their long-anticipated winter items on Thursday, Nov. 3. The extensive list ensures everyone is bound to find something they like this holiday season. Drinks consist of the Peppermint Mocha, Irish Cream Cold Brew, Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, Caramel Brulee Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and a Chestnut Praline Latte.

If you like your drinks sweet and the taste of coffee, the Caramel Brulee Latte is the drink for you. Firstly, the presentation was really good. Even though I got it hot, they topped the drink with whipped cream and caramel brulee flakes, which gave the drink a good touch. The caramel flavor was very prevalent and gave the drink the perfect sweetness.

I also tried the Peppermint Mocha which is great for people who like a more bitter taste. It perfectly brings in the holiday season with the strong but not overpowering peppermint flavor. I personally like a less bitter flavor, so this drink was not my favorite but if you like peppermint you would definitely enjoy this drink.

One of the best parts about the new releases is the holiday red cups that every hot drink comes in. Every year, Starbucks releases a new cup design making each year’s design more unique and exciting. This year, the cup has a red background with green ornament lines vertically placed on the cup and decorative sparkles within the green lines.

Along with drinks they also released a coffee ground blend called the “Christmas Blend.” Customers can buy this to make their own holiday drink at home. They also released two food items: a Pistachio Swirl and the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. I tried the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish and the mix of sweetness with the flaky bread was delicious. I would especially recommend getting the danish warmed.

Starbucks will continue selling its holiday collection until about the second week of Jan. The 2022 Starbucks Holiday Release is definitely worth trying because there is something for everyone and will help you get in the holiday mood.
