This past weekend the Robinson Starlets participated in a tournament at Riverview High School. The Starlets placed second out of five teams, an improvement from their 11th place win in their last tournament.

Although the Starlets were happy taking home their second place win, Starlets co-captain Reginald Allen (’19) believes there’s still room for improvement.

“Our coaches gave us more tips on what we need to fix and how to do it better,” Allen said.

The team earned a 40.60 in the Florida Federation of Color Guard National Class Premiere competition at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. The past weekend, the Starlets jumped 11 points to a 51.06 at last weekend’s performance.

“Overall we did better than Premiere, we were not as nervous as before. We always have to keep working to out do our previous run-throughs.” Starlets co-captain Amanda Ellington (’18) said.

The Robinson Starlets will compete again this Saturday at Plant City High School. Their performance is scheduled at 7:38 p.m.
