With the sky still pitch black, the class of 2024 woke up at the crack of dawn and started their morning at Ballast Point Park for the annual senior sunrise.
The 2023-24 school year began Thursday, Aug. 10 as Robinson students reunite with their classmates for one final first day. Despite the anxiety in the air, seniors eagerly are anticipating for their final year of high school.
“It was really nice to see everyone again. Taking pictures was fun and the sunrise was really pretty,” Kaitlyn Campo (’24) said.
Many students decided to customize their Burger King crowns to showcase their uniqueness.
“I decorated my crown with some of my friends. It was really fun to see everyone’s crown designs and see each other before the official start of senior year,” Katie Orlick (’24) said.
As the sun rose, students took a moment to reflect on their four years together.
“Senior sunrise was really nostalgic because we got together with the people we’ve been together with for four years. These people have encouraged me to work hard and push through all the challenges. At the end, we are all in this together,” Shoira Afandikhonova (’24) said.
