Two days after dropping a 4-2 decision to Leto, the Knights hit the field again on Monday afternoon at home against Plant City, who was coming off of a 2-1 win over Plant. Patrick Kiszla got the start on the mound for Robinson, coming out with another dominant performance. Kiszla threw a complete game, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out four. Early on in the season, Kiszla holds a 2-0 record with a 0.78 Earned Run Average.

The Knights got out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning, which started with a single from T.J. Cole (’14), who is hitting the ball well early on this season. After Cole stole second and Jack White (’15) was hit by a pitch, Shawn McGory (’16) came through with a RBI single to give Robinson an early lead. Later in the inning, Darius Autry (’15) delivered with a RBI single of his own to push the lead to 2-0. Autry finished the day 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a RBI.

After Plant City cut the lead to 2-1 in the fourth, Robinson answered in the fifth, when Matthew Steckel (’16) drew a walk after a prolonged at-bat, later coming around to score on a passed ball.

Robinson next takes the field Thursday night at Sickles.
