These days, it’s hard to find a no-bake recipe that can still easily impress. I’ve found the perfect creative, customizable treat that can be shared and transported effortlessly. These crunchy peanut butter balls are the cutest sweet snacks for holiday parties.

Ingredients (makes around 40 servings)

  • 1/2 cup of softened butter
  • 2 cups of creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 cups of rice crispy cereal with extra for garnish
  • 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil

Directions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together the butter and peanut butter for one minute.
  2. Take out the bowl and stir the butter and peanut butter until smooth, and microwave for an additional 20 seconds.
  3. Combine the powdered sugar and rice crispy cereal in the same bowl, and gently mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Use your hands or a spoon to pick up the mixture and roll it into approximately 1-inch balls. Place the balls on parchment paper and freeze for 15 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for one minute and fifteen seconds, stopping to stir every 30 seconds.
  6. Take your frozen peanut butter balls out of the oven and dunk them into the melted chocolate one at a time to get an even coat. Place back on a piece of parchment paper.
  7. Garnish with sweets of your choice, I chose to use sprinkles and crumbled-up Oreos. Chill until the chocolate has set.
  8. Share and enjoy!

These work perfectly for party favors and sweet treats to gift to friends and family. I made these for my family’s Christmas party last year and they were gone in minutes. I’m not even a big peanut butter fan, and I enjoy these because the flavor isn’t overbearing. The crunchiness of the cereal makes the texture so fun and creative.

The best thing about these balls is that they don’t have to be perfect. Follow your heart with the size and garnish and everything will fall in place! It’s nearly impossible to mess these up.

Make these crunchy peanut butter balls a fan favorite in your home.
