Cody Simpson – Paradise Tour

From the beginning of the intermission, the anxious chanting could be heard from outside of the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

“Cody! Cody! Cody!”

Cody Simpson’s performance did not disappoint the hundreds of screaming girls impatiently waiting for their idol to emerge from the smoke-filled stage. After his signature “I like this right here,” Simpson came forth to impress his adoring fans with hits like “Got Me Good,” an intimate acoustic performance of “Awake All Night,” and the ever-popular “Pretty Brown Eyes.”

With special effects, hip hop dance moves, and Simpson’s harmonies, the level of excitement at the Paradise Tour was unimaginable. Though there were millions of lights, smoke, and dynamic performances by Simpson’s backup dancers, he maintained perfect pitch all throughout the concert, never overshadowed by the impressive array of effects.

Some might describe Simpson as an Australian Justin Bieber, but his Paradise Tour accentuated the versatility of his style, a style which is perfect for summer!

Special thanks to MOXIE for sending two of RHSToday’s correspondents to the Paradise Tour!
