In need of a delicious break? I understand that desperate times come for desperate measures, so, to make it easier for you, I found a couple recipes that I abide by when you’re in that baking mood. It’s important to keep busy during a time like this, so why not waste it by making something you can eat?

  • Banana BreadThis is one of my favorites. Banana bread is perfect for when you’re craving a soft and sweet—but not too sweet—cake. With this recipe, you’ll get the perfectly textured cake within an hour. Banana bread can be paired with ice cream or chocolate chips. It’s also perfect because you can have it at any time of the day.
  • Chocolate chip muffins: When in the mood for a sweet and classic treat, this is the ideal thing to bake. With decent serving sizes and a soft texture, it’s hard to resist making these muffins. This recipe is super simple and quick, so you’ll have your muffins in no time!
  • Jell-o: This is about as simple as you can get. Jell-o has been a favorite since the 15th century and is still around, that’s how you know it’s good. This no-mess dessert makes for the perfect little treat. Directions to make it even come on the back of the box! But if you don’t have the box, here’s a simple recipe.
  • Chocolate chip cookiesThis is always a fan favorite. You can’t go wrong with chocolate chip cookies. It is completely in your control of how much you want them to be baked. Even if you don’t want chocolate chips in your cookie, you can substitute something else like peanut butter or coconut flakes.

No matter what you bake, it’s a great way to stay positive and active during this time period. Have fun while baking and use it as a break from your everyday routine in order to stay mentally healthy.
