RHS newspaper staff predicts the future of fashion in 2021

What should you look out for in the upcoming year?

New year means new fashion trends, causing everyone to predict what’s coming in—and what will come out of style each year. Our newspaper staff told us what they think that will become hot in 2021.

Most of our staff’s predictions (and almost everyone’s) revolve around what was cool “back then.” This is because every fashion era all the way from the 20’s to the 2010’s follow a 20 year rule. They become the rage of the decade, die out and become hated, then go right back to being the number one thing everyone loves. Most of the trends our staff predicted came from the early 2000’s or the late 90’s, but some even went all the way back to the 1800’s due to Netflix shows or new found aesthetics such as cottagecore.
