Have you made dinner reservations for Valentine’s day yet? If you haven’t, it might not be too late. Here are some options that can help you decide on where to bring your date.

Don’t wait until the last minute! You don’t have to go to a crazy fancy restaurant, but having a plan set in place with your valentine makes them feel extra special.

Water + Flour is a cute little place located near SOHO/ Hyde Park area. It does not have a dine-in area, so a cute date idea would be to get it to-go and have a little picnic while watching the sunset. Their menu has a lot of different choices from salads to sushi and pasta to pizza. I’ve never been there before, but I will definitely be trying this place soon!

International Mall has around 14 different food options (not including the food court). I would recommend picking one and making a reservation. Don’t wait until the last minute to make your reservations because some restaurants may already be fully booked. Some restaurants that are good are the Cheesecake factory, Rocco’s Tacos and the Capital Grille.

Luv Child has a mix of Latin and Cuban cuisine. The interior is very vibrant and it feels welcoming when you walk inside. They’ve got sandwiches and burritos, enchiladas and even a make-your-own platter. Luv Child does not take reservations so if you want to get a seat, I would recommend getting there early!

The Melting Pot has a full night experience. With a four-course meal and a cheese dipping chocolate, there is plenty of fun for all. I have never been before but I have only heard good things. They said the service and dining experience is something to experience yourself.

Bern’s Steakhouse is a classic date night on Valentine’s day. I doubt they will have any openings on the 14th if you haven’t made your reservation yet. If you got a late start on reservations, I recommend making reservations for another day if you don’t care about going out the night of the 14th. They also have a dessert room that doesn’t take reservations. You could dress really fancy and see if there is an open space for you and your date.
