As someone who loves to listen to girl groups with a sassier and bolder style like Blackpink, Katseye and Aespa, I never expected to like a group with a “cute” concept. However, the rising K-pop girl group Hearts2Hearts, under SM Entertainment, is quickly proving that they’re one to watch. After their popular debut with The Chase earlier this year, the eight-member group Jiwoo, Carmen, Yuga, Stella, Juun, A-na and Ye-on, has returned with their highly anticipated first mini album, FOCUS, released on Oct. 20, 2025.
This comeback marks an exciting new chapter for Hearts2Hearts, who continue to build momentum with their unique sound and confident presence. The album FOCUS blends upbeat pop, emotional melodies and lyrical charm, showing off both the group’s versatility and growth as artists. Each song brings out a different side of their musical identity, mixing high-energy tracks with softer tunes that highlight their vocal depth.
While listening to the title track “FOCUS,” it really stood out to me for its irresistible rhythm and smooth blend of English and Korean lyrics, giving it that global vibe that international fans love. The production is clean yet dynamic, balancing modern pop beats with a melodic touch.
What’s even more impressive is how young and talented the members are. It’s kind of crazy to realize that some of these idols are younger than me now, yet they’re already performing with such confidence and skill on stage. Their passion, precision and stage presence make it clear that age doesn’t limit their ability to shine in the spotlight.
Hearts2Hearts also carries a sense of familiarity that reminds me of TWICE, the former girl group under JYP Entertainment. Like TWICE, Hearts2Hearts deliver music with catchy hooks and emotional softness, creating songs that are both comforting and exciting. Personally, my favorite track on the mini album is “FOCUS,” not only because of its vibrant beat but also for how naturally it switches between languages. It’s the kind of song that sticks with you long after it ends.
With FOCUS, Hearts2Hearts proves they’re more than just promising newcomers. They’re a group defining their own identity in the competitive K-pop scene, and this release cements their place as one of the most exciting new voices in the industry.
