Everybody loves posting on their story about activities they’ve done and places they’ve been, but what about cute fall posts? There are places you can go and things you can do to take photos and make the perfect fall post. Some of my favorite places to go are:
Pumpkin Patches
The classic place to visit when looking for a pumpkin for Halloween or fall decor in general. Whether you’re sitting with the patch or holding one in your hands, pumpkins indicate the time of year and go great with any fall outfit. If the building or facility at the patch is made of wood, that is even better – it enhances the natural aspects of the photo and of the fall season.
Farms/Parks
Anywhere in nature can bring out the best of any season, and for fall, afternoon lighting is ideal. Going to a farm or a park, you can stand by a tree, bush or anything nature-related to create the perfect fall photo, with the addition of the golden sun in the back. Nature is a big indication of the changing weather since it looks different depending on the season. In fall, leaves are supposed to change color and fall to the ground, but in Florida, it’s normally too hot for this to happen. This is why afternoon lighting is so important; it can enhance the fall aspects of nature and make leaves and nature appear somewhat differently from what they normally appear to be.
Front Yards
If you have a tree in your front yard, the easiest photo is taking a picture at the trunk of the tree in the afternoon light, but there are other ways to bump up the fall vibe in a photo.
If you have a tree like an oak where leaves fall that you must rake, you can rake up the leaves to make a pile, and jump in the pile for an action shot. And to upgrade this photo, do it with the tree in the background.
If jumping in a pile of leaves isn’t exactly your idea of fun, then with a leaf blower or some other kind of fan, you can ask someone to blow the leaves in a certain direction during the photo, to still allow a leaf pile to be incorporated.
Porch/Fence
Another easy way to take a photo is by standing on your porch or by your fence in afternoon lighting. However, this idea is only effective if the sun faces your front door or fence in the afternoons; otherwise, the photo may include shadows, affecting the quality of the photo. To add to the fall vibe, you can spread fallen leaves on the ground of your photo.
These are just a few of many fall photo ideas to show your fall spirit this season, and inspiration to generate even better post ideas. Happy posting!
