The Robinson Knights went to King High School on Oct. 10th, in an attempt to get their first win of the season. Not only did they win, but they put up their best performance of the season. Between offense, defense and special teams, they were blocking almost every play King made against them.
“That week was a strong week for us to come back and prepare ourselves,” Wide receiver Omar Anchico III (’27) said. “And then we added new things into the mix.”
The team changed up the way they have been approaching games in order to create a stronger defense, a better offense and continue what special teams was doing well. Throughout the game, you could see the chemistry shift and the different plays they called made a big difference in the overall performance. The offensive line was working together perfectly, creating an amazing balance which led to all the big plays.
“It felt great getting my first win as quarterback,” quarterback Marino Cozzens (’27) said. “It was a statement win and a boost of confidence for the whole team”
This was Cozzens first year as a knight, his goal coming into Robinson was to change the way the team was working in hopes to bring the program up. This win was the big push to team needed to connect on a deeper level and pay harder than they have in past games.
