Teaching runs in the family for history instructor Melissa Mousseau. Mousseau, a Robinson grad, has been teaching at Robinson for 17 years. She went to college at USF, where she got her bachelor’s and master’s degree in social studies education.

“[I decided to teach history because] I’ve always liked it,” said Mousseau. “My favorite thing about this job is the ability to work with bright young minds.”

Mousseau teaches multiple subjects and AP courses, including AP United States History, United States History Honors, and AP Macroeconomics. But she’s not the only teacher in her family.

“My father also substitutes here as a math teacher, but I was a teacher longer than he was,” said Mousseau. “Maybe he’ll come back next year.”

Other than teaching, Mousseau enjoys shopping and spending money and her favorite food is chicken wings.
