Shula’s classic burger was a pleasant experience for staffer Nathalie Monroy.

As a reoccurring guest of Soho’s restaurants and cafes, I was more than excited to try the new burger joint, Shula Burger.

Located right across from Chipotle and Koto Japanese Steak House, this small burger place lived up to its “perfect” title. The fast-casual setting is  immediately inviting and their food doesn’t disappoint.

Their signature burgers are a unique blend of Black Angus Chuck, Short Rib and Brisket meat. Their menu offers a variety of burgers, sides and hand dipped Haagen-Dazs milkshakes.

I wish I was more spontaneous but I ended up ordering their classic Shula Burger. With perfect seasoning, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, this burger turned out to be better than I expected. Although it was pretty small, it was flavorful and juicy. With it came a side order of their sea-salted fries, which were truly satisfying. And what made it pretty unique was that their name, Shula, was grilled, or rather stamped, on the top bun–it created a quite aesthetically striking burger.

Truth be told, it wasn’t anything extraordinary, but it proved to be more pleasing and delectable than the average burger.

And with the great food came great service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and welcomed into an amicable atmosphere. The restaurant’s staff tended to all needs or questions and made the experience that much more delightful.

So, if you’re if in the mood for a quick bite or a casual family night out, this new burger joint is worth the trip.
