Last week, the school board announced that Hillsborough County Public Schools would be experiencing budget cuts in an already unprecedented school year. This announcement raised concern for parents, students and staff who benefit from magnet and arts programs, which were the two areas rumored to be cut and impacted the hardest. On Sept. 22, the school board held a meeting, where citizens took to the school board building in downtown to share their love and support for these programs.
