Loading ...![Let the reindeer games begin as the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Winter Festival is coming up this Saturday, Dec. 2 from 2 p.m.- 6p.m. This winter festival will include entertainment, food, crafts, games and vendors. This event is for all ages and families all around the community to enjoy as it begins to cool down.
Countless hours of labor and planned were devoted to ensure that this event was possible. The goal of it is bring joy to the Robinson community.
“The goal is to promote our school. Our community is also the reason we decided to do this fun community event,” PTSA said PTSA Treasurer Karrie Hargot. “The PTSA has been planning this for several months and it is definitely a labor of love- our love for Robinson.”
PTSA Student President Anthony Zheng (’24) agrees with Hargot and expressed just how fun it’ll be with a list of activities that will be available.
“I highly encourage people to attend because there’ll be a variety of vendors selling all sorts of goods and booths with activities that will be lots of fun. I’m sure that anyone who attends will enjoy themselves,” Zheng said. “There’ll be yard games, a gaming tower to match up against friends, a VR game station, foam area, local vendors and food.”
Admission fees are either a donation of non-perishable food or cash for Metropolitan Ministries, a nonprofit organization that provides care for at risk homeless families in the Tampa Bay area. Tickets can be purchased in either in advanced or at the gate; in advance they’re $15 for 25 tickets and at the gate is $20 for 25 tickets. Tickets will be used for all the games.
“[I anticipate] this event to be a market that one can enter and immediately feel welcome and [enjoy] the atmosphere of the Knights community spirit, having fun and playing games, eating food and indulging in treats,” Zheng said.

Jennie Gutman, Staff Writer
Jennie Gutman is a junior at Robinson and a staff writer for Knight Writers. This is her first year on staff.
The main reason why Gutman decided to be part of the staff is to become an advanced writer, allowing her to excel in her classes. As a basketball player, Gutman has a deep passion for sports writing and looks forward to covering all the RHS sports.
A baller at heart, Gutman aspires to pursue her passion for basketball after high school.
"My main goal in basketball is to get into D1, and if not D1 then I would try to get into D2 and then play overseas," Gutman said as she's currently trying to score 1,000 points and was titled the MVP 2 times at Robinson.
Other than Basketball, Gutman finds joy in shopping, hanging out with friends, and most importantly, she focuses on exercising at least once per day to try and improve her game.
With a wide-open future, Gutman hopes to either help people as a Physical Therapist or pursue her interest in stocks by becoming a Businesswoman.
"In the near future, I just want to help people as much as I can," Gutman said.
