If you sat down outside around the new outdoor seating area for lunch on Aug 25, club presidents and members set up booths to flaunt their clubs to incoming and returning Knights.

Clubs that were featured around the new area were AeroKnights, Best Buddies, Chivalry Club, Debate Club, First Priority, Knightmare, Lego Club, Marine Biology Club, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honors Society (NHS), Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), Photo Club, Troupe 2660 and Women in Stem and many more.

Some new clubs were introduced to Robinson this year. One of the new clubs is “Speed Lax.”

“I think others should join the Speed Lax club if they want to have a good time during school and learn a new sport that they might’ve never been introduced to before. It doesn’t matter if you have never held a lacrosse stick before. At the end of the day, we’re just there to have a good time, meet others, and learn the fun sport of lacrosse,” Leyton Perkley (’24) said about starting the new club.

Another new club that came to Robinson this year is the Muscle Mania Club. The MM Club is about learning how to better yourself physically and learn how to lift weights correctly. One more new club is Second Priority. Second Priority is a community and project-based club. The club’s goal is to help students pursue any creative ideas they may have involving art, music, film, etc. and give light to them on their social media platforms.

“We want to create a place where we hype up people’s ideas so much that they don’t give up because of self-doubt or fear of being judged. We also plan on doing fun games to help people get to know each other and make new friends,” said the co-founder of the club, Gabi Treviño (’24).

The first official club day is Sept. 19. Robinson Admin will be sending an announcement out on Canvas in the Student Services class to have students sign up for clubs.
